Start with the page and the result
Open Jot in the site or agency you want to work on. In desktop Studio, use the Jot button at the bottom of the left rail to show or hide the window. Name the page, explain the result, and include wording or facts that must stay accurate. Attach only material you intend to use for the task. Clear a selected block from the message context when your next request is about something else.
For example: "On the About page, propose a short FAQ using our theme. Ask me about any missing facts. Show a preview before applying it."
Explore, preview and confirm
For an open-ended design request, Jot can read the page and ask questions or offer directions before preparing a change. Answer those questions to narrow the proposal. Read the proposed wording, links and business facts yourself.
When a section offers Interactive preview, open it to try supported native interactions, such as an accordion or tabs, and check the phone layout. On a small screen, return to the conversation to continue reviewing. This is a temporary preview: integrations may be placeholders, and it does not change the page.
Check the target page and location shown on a proposal. Use Show location to inspect it, confirm the location to apply it, or choose another spot. A dismissed proposal can be reopened, but permissions and the current page are checked again. Applying a draft and publishing the website are separate actions. Other operational tools can have their own confirmation and effects, so read each action before approving it.
Continue a conversation
Working text below the reply shows that Jot is still processing. A finished reply shows the time spent. Use conversation history to return to earlier work, and request-navigation controls or the latest-message control to move through long chats without losing your reading position.
Jot keeps bounded notes from earlier messages and useful page observations to help continue a conversation. These notes are not proof that an earlier proposed change was applied. Ask Jot to read the current page when the answer depends on its present state.
The conversation receives a title as you work. Select the title to rename it; a name you set manually is kept. On desktop, move the window from its right-side grip, resize its width, and drag the divider above the message box to adjust conversation height. Window dimensions and placement are saved in that browser. Use the window reset control to return its placement and width to the defaults.
Use suggestions deliberately
A short suggestion chip can contain a more detailed prompt. Select it to fill the message box, read and edit that request, then send it when ready. Selecting a chip does not apply a change. Jot can retain useful page-improvement suggestions across conversations; it does not continuously run paid background site audits.
Generating follow-up suggestions uses AI credits within the reply's task. Sending the suggested request starts another ordinary task. AI-credit usage and daily task limits are separate. Daily credit claims are no longer offered; existing credit balances and the applicable monthly allowance remain subject to the account's current terms. Check Plans and billing.
Share only the conversations you intend
Conversations start private. An owner can share a selected site conversation with teammates who have Jot access, so they can read and continue it under their own permissions. Previously shared conversations cannot use private account tools, and conversations using those tools cannot be shared. Revoking sharing prevents later access but cannot erase copies already seen; deleting the conversation removes the shared transcript for participants.
Jot does not grant editing, publishing, billing or people-management permissions. Local name and access displays use your current account information; these placeholder fields are resolved in the interface rather than expanded into the model prompt. Information you type into a message can still be part of its AI context.
